Basque Beret T-shirt

This shirt features a vintage shop sign promoting the berets (and other headwear) of Boinas Elósegui, the Tolosa-based hatmaker that’s been covering heads since 1858—though not intentionally at first.
Antonio Elósegui started out making socks. They were, by all accounts, terrible socks. But they made pretty decent hats, so he pivoted and built a company that now cranks out 160,000 hats a year for everyone from parade-ground generals to that guy in your neighborhood who insists that berets “work with everything.”
Printed on lightweight ringspun cotton with a regular fit, this tee lets you channel a century and a half of Basque style without the risk of being drafted into a military parade. Wear it on the street. Wear it in the square. Wear it like you’ve got an army—or at least a sock factory—behind you.
